As Chairman of the recently-created Circular Economy Commission within the French wine merchants’ union (UMVin), as well as the French Federation of Spirits (FFS) and the French Federation of Aperitif Wines (FFVA), he is working with some fifteen member companies of these federations and their teams to explore the possibilities of returning returnable bottles to their channels. The aim is to wash and reuse them in place of new bottles, under conditions that are economically viable for the companies and in line with current quality standards.
On a day-to-day basis, he has been Operations Director at RICHARD Vins et Spiritueux for 17 years. This wine merchant and distributor of beverages to cafés, hotels and restaurants stands out for its management of 1.5 million returnable, washed and reused bottles every year on its site, as well as for the collection and sorting of 5.5 million bottles destined for the beverage industry, thanks to integrated logistics.
