Jona van Oord

Jona van Oord, COO, leads our fundraising efforts and grant/accelerator applications, monitoring numerous platforms to ensure all relevant opportunities are pursued. Jona is behind Rise’s expansion into the production of methanol. He also plays a key role in developing our lab scale test, building relationships with vendors and UChicago PME laboratories. Lastly, Jona monitors our task list, schedules and leads important meetings, and develops action items. Jona carries expertise in polymers (for battery applications), plastics, and clean fuels, which he gained from his role as research assistant in the Patel Lab at UChicago.
