One cap for all diameters.
Bericap’s new solution means that a single cap can be used with all the main diameters of cosmetic tubes (35, 40 and 50 mm). This means the entire supply chain benefits.
A single cap for all ports.
The new Bericap solution changes the concept of where product flow control is formed.
Most flip-top caps have a different orifice, e.g. 3 mm, 5 mm or 7 mm.
This means you need 3 caps in stock to offer 3 different orifices.
At Bericap, the orifice is made in the neck of the tube, not in the cap. This means that changing the orifice is an inexpensive operation that can be carried out on the tube extrusion machine, in a matter of minutes or hours, allowing the producer to be ready to use all orifices at any time.
Weight.
Traditional Flip Top closures weigh 5 to 8 g.
The new Bericap solution weighs a minimum of 1.2 g.
Mono – Material.
Most flip-top caps are made of PP, while tube bodies are made of PE. The new Bericap solution is made of HDPE, so when placed on a PE pipe body, it creates a “mono-material” pipe that is then easier to recycle.
Tamper evidence function.
The new Bericap solution features a TE function so that consumers know they are the first person to open the tube. This becomes even more important when brand owners wish to eliminate the carton as part of a sustainability measure. With the TE function, the tube doesn’t need a carton or any other system to show proof of tamper-evidence (foil lid, etc.).
Locking function.
When the cap is fully open, it snaps into the locked position, allowing product to flow without the cap interfering with product flow.
