AERON® Freeze refrigerants – for a better climate
Our refrigerants are free of halogens and have no negative impact on the ozone layer – their ODP value is zero and their GWP value is 3 – 4 for butane/propane and 5 for pentanes.
Natural refrigerants are becoming increasingly important, particularly in light of the new F-Gas Regulation, which provides for a reduction in synthetic refrigerants. Halogenated refrigerants have a considerable impact on the ozone layer and therefore remain in the stratosphere for years, sometimes even decades. Our refrigerants are considered short-lived substances under atmospheric conditions and therefore do not contribute to ozone layer depletion.
In addition to their use in the household industry, our refrigerants are becoming increasingly important as energy sources in heat pump technology in view of the current Renewable Energy Sources Act.
