Due to its flexibility, the POLYCOATER offers the possibility to finish a wide variety of products. The coating processes developed and applied by SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES are particularly environmentally friendly compared to conventional electroplating. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rinck, CEO of the SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG: “With our POLYCOATER we also enable the economic and sustainable chrome (VI)-free coating of components. In addition to applications in the cosmetics industry, this process can also be used in supplier companies of the automotive industry for built-in parts in chrome optics for operating elements such as pushbuttons and levers for circuits.”
The coating system from SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is designed as an inline machine and operates according to the principle of vacuum cathode sputtering (Physical Vapor Deposition = PVD). Vacuum sputtering offers numerous process-specific advantages. Compared with conventional batch production, this solution automates the manufacturing process and, with the short cycle times of inline production, significantly reduces production costs. For optimum coating from all sides, the components are rotated in a vacuum. The POLYCOATER is the central component of production lines for the manufacturing and finishing of three-dimensional components and, in addition to applications in the cosmetics industry, can be used universally as a coating machine, for example for products in the packaging, electronics and automotive industries.
