We are pleased to announce that following the receipt of RecyClass recognition for PLATINA™ PRO (white material), now the PLATINA™ VISION (transparent material) Tube has also received the coveted RecyClass recognition for Europe. RecyClass is an initiative that promotes and evaluates the recyclability of plastic packaging in Europe.
The recyclability was previously recognized by the Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) in the USA. This is the counterpart to the plastics association RecyClass in Europe. RecyClass confirmed that the PLATINA™ VISION tubes also fulfil the most demanding test conditions and strict criteria of the APR HDPE Critical Guidance and the APR HDPE Bottle-to-Bottle Protocol for Europe.
The technical recyclability of this innovative packaging solution was tested specifically in relation to the recycling processes for HDPE bottles. For this purpose, sorting tests were carried out at CIRCPACK®, which led to a very positive result. RecyClass uses a class ranking system to assess the recyclability of plastic packaging. The classification ranges from A to F. We have achieved a TOP ranking with the classification “B”, which defines the completeness of recyclability. The transparent PLATINA™ VISION tube offers a sustainable and visually enhancing packaging solution for the cosmetics market.
