RAIKU Collaborates with LVMH – Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, World’s Largest Luxury Company, and Eyes New Factory in France – Interview with LVMH

RAIKU partners with LVMH to bring 100% natural packaging to luxury goods. Selected for LVMH's Accelerator, RAIKU aims to replace single-use plastics and align with sustainability goals, including plans for a factory in France.

RAIKU has developed a 100% natural packaging material known for its stunning design, shock absorption, and the lowest carbon footprint on the market. Recently, RAIKU secured an €8.8 million grant from the European Innovation Council and is collaborating with global brands to bring its innovation to market.

One key milestone is its acceptance into the LVMH Accelerator, connecting RAIKU’s packaging to over 75 luxury brands. Chosen from over 1,500 applicants with just a 2% success rate, this represents a major achievement for the company.

Founded in 1987, LVMH now includes over 75 Maisons, like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Moët & Chandon. RAIKU’s mission to replace single-use plastics and reduce environmental footprints aligns perfectly with LVMH’s sustainability vision.

Selma Delic, Sourcing Manager at LVMH Open Innovation, explains:
“La Maison des Startups LVMH offers startups access to pitch sessions, tailored demos, and insights into luxury markets. They receive coaching, a mentor, and a year-long office space at Station F, the world’s largest startup campus.”

Karl Pärtel, RAIKU’s Co-Founder, commented:
“LVMH recognizing our material underscores its potential to transform packaging. We’re now planning a factory in France to scale production. I encourage startups to apply for the Accelerator—it’s invaluable for bridging innovations with global brands.”

The Accelerator has fostered over 700 collaborations. Recent highlights include Berluti x LivingPackets’ “THE BOX,” a smart reusable packaging for luxury goods, and Stella McCartney x BioFluff’s Savian line, featuring hemp and nettle materials.

Selma concludes:
“Sustainability is critical for luxury brands due to consumer demand and regulations. Through LIFE 360, LVMH aims to restore 5 million hectares of wildlife by 2030, balancing resources and environmental care.”

RAIKU will join Season 10 of the LVMH Accelerator (July 2024–July 2025) and is raising funds for a second factory in France.
