After having been in charge of prescriptions and materials in J.M. Wilmotte’s architecture agency, Quentin created matériO’ in 2000, a service for monitoring innovation in materials for all creative professions. For more than 20 years he has been travelling the world’s most diverse trade fairs, tracking down innovations on the Internet, hustling manufacturers to obtain samples or additional information, working relentlessly to promote new uses for thousands of unique materials. matériO provides designers, in complete independence, with the richest and most inspiring “material library” possible, without barriers, without compartmentalisation, but with curiosity as the driving force, an intuitive database as a tool and 5 showrooms around the world to physically apprehend this wealth. Quentin is often asked to speak about materials, the process of inspiration and innovation, sustainable development, cross-fertilisation… during conferences and workshops.
