Hawkridge Distillers rolls out Victorian-inspired gin
For its Victorian Botanical Blend Gin, UK-based Hawkridge Distillers opted for a bespoke turquoise bottle paying homage to the Berkshire distillery’s original Victorian-era mansion.
For the launch of Hawkridge Distillers’ London Dry Victorian Botanical Blend Gin late last year, the brand opted for a bespoke bottle (Allied Glass) whose elaborate design was influenced by the British Victorian era. Sprayed bright turquoise, the bottle features the brand name embossed on the base.
Inspired by the doorknobs of the Victorian mansion where the distillery started out, the bottle is topped with a mahogany wood, cork-blend stopper (Bostocap) bearing the brand’s name. The facing label (MCC), designed by British illustrator Benjamin Carr, sports golden accents on a turquoise background and combines gold foil printing and embossing. A wraparound golden label decorates the bottle’s neck.
The Hawkridge distillery plans on expanding its gin range with flavored versions of the Botanical Blend gin, which could include options like blood orange and amaretto cherry.
