Pol Roger Portfolio adds Mount Mary to its esteemed collection

UK importer Pol Roger Portfolio has recently expanded its range of high-quality wines by partnering with Mount Mary, a revered Australian winery from the Yarra Valley.

This strategic move marks the winery’s shift away from global distribution through La Place de Bordeaux, reflecting a focused effort to cater to specific markets, including the UK’s premium wine sector.

The addition underscores Pol Roger’s commitment to collaborating with family-owned, high-end producers. Managing director James Simpson MW expressed confidence in the UK wine trade and highlighted Mount Mary’s alignment with the importer’s ethos, praising both the quality of the wines and the Middleton family, who oversee the estate.

While Simpson said there “would not be a lot of stock” of Mount Mary, which makes just four wines, he said that the wines “were terrific and not outrageously expensive.”

The winery’s portfolio includes four wines, with the flagship Bordeaux blend, Quintet, at the forefront. Other offerings include a limited-production Pinot Noir, a Bordeaux-style white wine named Triolet, and a Chardonnay.
