SABIC & LUMENE: A journey to bio-based moisturiser jars crafted from side streams

This joint presentation will guide you through the evolution of Lumene’s iconic face moisturizer jar’s new packaging design. SABIC and Lumene collaborated to replace fossil-based plastics with bio-renewable alternative, thereby lowering the carbon footprint of their packaging. SABIC, a leading producer of polymers and chemicals, utilizes renewable naphtha derived from pulp production residues to create certified bio-renewable polypropylene, which maintains equivalent product safety, purity, and processability as traditional polymers using standard manufacturing processes.
