ISO 14001 standard: A novelty at Sÿnia

Sÿnia has always strived to reduce its environmental impact. This is reflected in particular by the obtaining of the ISO 26000 standard carried by Lucie 26000, in 2019.

But today, the company wants to go further in its approach and obtain the ISO 14001 standard.

ISO 14001 and environmental responsibility
The ISO 26000 standard rewards companies that are committed and that carry out a certain number of actions. The ISO 14001 standard is the world reference for the environmental management system. More than simple actions carried out on an occasional basis, this standard imposes a framework and a structure. Actions must be systematic and impact analyzes must be carried out.
The objective is always the same; reduce environmental impact and environmental risks. This standard is accessible and attributable to any type of structure. It is even a sort of gateway to certain large groups whose CSR commitment is essential.

How to become ISO 14001
Becoming ISO 14001 is not just a simple administrative formality. Because it brings many benefits. It brings a certain structuring to the actions in order to better manage the activity. It brings credit to the company to win new markets. But also reduce production costs and be more operational.
The main criteria to be respected are the attribution of referent status to one of the employees. Sÿnia therefore recruited an employee in charge of the QSE part a few months ago. He is in charge of communication in order to explain this approach to all employees. As well as all the company’s commitments in connection with the ISO 14001 standard. The company must communicate on its good practices as well as its objectives so that all employees can be informed of the chosen strategy.
All these actions are already in place at Sÿnia. We just have to wait for the final verdict and hope to be able to announce to you soon that we have obtained the standard!
