Draup Spirits aims to excel during the Rugby World Cup
With the Rugby World Cup currently underway in France, Draup Spirits, a Charente-based company set up in 2022 by former professional rugby player Clément Praud, is looking to make a splash.
To mark the occasion, its French single malt, Loyal Bandit, is being presented in a special edition in the colours of the French flag. The whisky, priced at €34.90 for a 70cl bottle, has an alcohol content of 40° and has been aged for three years in new American oak casks, old bourbon casks and old cognac casks. Production is handled by Maison Boinaud, while marketing is managed by Polignac.
The Draup Spirits range also includes a blended scotch called Ben Cocky and a French vodka made by Distillerie De La Tour called Lim. These two products are available for €19.90 and €17.90 respectively. A number of chains such as Leclerc, Intermarché and U have already included these products in their range, particularly in their outlets in Alsace and Charente.
