Coster Group earns zero waste to landfill certification
Coster Group has achieved a major milestone in its sustainability journey by earning the Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) certificate.
This recognition underscores the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and reaching landfill-free waste management globally by 2026. Following a thorough audit by Intertek, Coster was acknowledged for diverting an extraordinary 99.995% of its waste from landfills, far exceeding the certification’s requirements.
This achievement applies to all eight of the company’s production sites in Trentino, Italy, including Coster Tecnologie Speciali S.p.A., CosterPlast, and TecnoCoster.
Between June 2023 and June 2024, these sites demonstrated exceptional waste management by eliminating landfill disposal entirely, minimising incineration, and focusing heavily on recycling and energy recovery.
Coster aims to achieve landfill-free certification across all European sites by 2025 and extend this accomplishment globally by 2026.
