Press release | Paris Packaging Week 2024 to play host to worldwide product launches as first innovations announced
First new products to be launched in Paris this January revealed, with innovations across beauty, luxury, drinks, and aerosols.
Paris 27/11/23: After selling out all 650 of its exhibitor spaces, Paris Packaging Week has lifted the lid on the first of hundreds of exciting new innovations visitors can expect to see on its show floor in 2024.
When doors open on 17 & 18 January at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, attendees will find four vibrant events running concurrently on the same venue, allowing for cross-industry networking between the biggest players in the beauty, luxury, premium drinks, and aerosol sectors.
Here is just a small taste of what visitors can expect to see at 2024’s first blockbuster event – the first of hundreds of game-changing innovations revealed on the show floor.
Making the trip across France from ‘Plastics Valley’ in Oyonnax, SERIPLAST is an expert in the development, manufacturing, and decoration of cosmetics packaging. Attendees to its booth at PCD will be the first to see its innovative new squared flask solution, which will be launched at the show, alongside its extreme closure airless bottle with a new French-made all-plastic pump. The pump helps create new sensorial experiences when it dispenses a product, and its superb dosage consistency offers exciting applications in a number of product categories.
From further afield, Barcelona-based Quadpack will be also be on the booth at PCD with a range of exciting innovations, including the fun, functional pan stick solution, ShapeUp, which dispenses high-viscosity formulas in virtually any shape or form thanks to custom apertures cut into its top. It will also be bringing its distinctive wood-based refillable Iconic Woodacity® 2.0 range of lipstick solutions. The 2.0 upgrade to the successful Woodacity design refines the concept, offering a greater range of wood types and finishes along with a new, patented closure system – Solo Snap.
Rebecca Torr, Senior Digital Communications Specialist at Quadpack, spoke about her excitement ahead of the show, saying, “We always look forward to Paris Packaging Week. It’s not just French brands who attend, but also European and global brands to whom we can showcase our sustainable solutions. Also, many visitors have technical profiles, so it’s a great show for innovation, as we meet with the right people.”
Luxury packaging and paper product specialist, James Cropper, will be bringing The Hive demonstrator – what it calls an “experience in a box” – to the Packaging Premiére event to wow attendees. The multi-sensory, immersive experience focuses on everything that is unique about James Cropper’s products and service and is sure to be a show highlight for anyone lucky enough to witness it.
Gainerie Moderne, one of the most prominent Swiss luxury packaging suppliers, is showcasing its innovations at Packaging Première. A well-established name across most luxury segments – particularly watchmaking and jewellery – the company specialises in producing exceptional tailor-made packaging to meet complex requirements. Visitors can expect to see the results of its focus on environmentally responsible solutions, including its sewn felt pouches and wooden cases for wines, and its luxury foldable aluminium watch cases. Anyone looking to strike the balance between luxury and sustainability should make sure they visit the Gainerie Moderne booth.
Solutions designed with sustainability in mind will feature prominently at the show, with exhibitors like Salvalco bringing its Eco-Valve system to its booth at ADF. ADF always delivers a whole host of innovations that can shape the future of aerosols, and 2024’s showcase should be no exception.
The Eco-Valve is designed to propel aerosols using compressed air or other harmless gases like nitrogen, offering equivalent performance to LPG propellant without the environmental footprint. This innovation has already proven to be a hit with big-name brands like Nivea, marking it out as a must-see for anyone working with aerosol dispensing systems.
Paris Packaging Week is a time to raise a glass to innovation, and Amorim – a bespoke bottle top manufacturer exhibiting at PLD proves that 2024 is no exception. It offers a broad range of stoppers made from cork or cork-based composites that are biodegradable or recyclable.
A highlight at its booth is expected to be the TAP Series stopper, a bottle top that contains an NFC tag. This allows the end user to tap their smartphone onto the stopper to receive data related to the product – this could include the date of bottling, serial numbers, promotional campaigns, ingredient lists, serving suggestions, mixing ideas, and more. The endless possibilities for brand storytelling should spark inspiration in attendees from across the beverage industry.
This is just scratching the surface of what will be on offer at Paris Packaging Week 2024. And, in addition to the excitement of the show floor, attendees can enjoy a packed schedule of talks and networking events, VIP lounges and bars, and more.
