The Reach, an 81-year-old single malt whisky
The Macallan unveils its new single malt whisky, made 81 years ago during the Second World War. The Reach, is a testament to the enduring spirit of The Macallan.
The precious whisky, with its rich, dark hue, rests delicately inside an elegant decanter crafted from hot-blown glass. It is adorned with a surrounding bronze sculpture depicting three distinct hands, each evoking an iconic figure from The Macallan’s history.
“Created during a turbulent time in the world, this extraordinary expression showcases The Macallan’s history, ingenuity and unrivalled strength of character. The Reach is a collaboration of many people. It is also a tribute to the people who made this precious whisky, and their enduring spirit that has never wavered,” says Campbell, Master Whisky Maker who selected the 1940 cask.
