The FEA endorses joint industry statement from European packaging value chain

The statement instead calls for: the recognition of the key role of recycling to achieve packaging circularity; a clear framework to enable mandatory collection and recycling while scaling up refill and reuse; an enabling environment to increase investment in sorting and recycling infrastructure; and lastly the preservation of packaging functionality and product safety. The European Aerosol Federation (FEA) stated: “While the aerosol industry has already engaged to bring packaging sustainability to the higher level, there are key points of concerns, shared within the packaging value chain, concerning the future revision of the packaging and packaging waste directive.”
