Hayman’s reveals sustainable Respirited vodka
London-based distiller Hayman’s, decided to recycle its grain spirit to create ‘Respirited’, a more sustainable vodka.
Respirited vodka, described as ‘smooth and characterful’, is encased in a bottle made from 100% recycled glass, finished with a sustainable cork, a compostable capsule and a label made from recyclable paper. This new product aims to fulfil the vodka’s tagline: “reborn, reimagined, respirited”.
James Hayman, co-owner and fifth-generation family member of Hayman’s, said: “As a long-standing family business, we are always thinking about the next generation. We’ve had a sustainability team for the last several years led by my father, Christopher [Hayman], looking at all aspects of our business”.
“One aspect we have always discussed is how we better use the leftover grain spirit from our distillation and wider production process. We have been working on this project for four years and we are delighted that the result of this is Respirited vodka.”
