Diamond inspiration for Kajal’s latest fragrance
The packaging of Kajal Perfumes’ latest fragrance Almaz, draws inspiration from the beauty of diamonds. The brand opted for metallised packaging, embellished with Eastern Kufic calligraphy.
For the packaging design of its newest eau de parfum Almaz, Kajal worked with graphic designer and architect Omar Ayoub. “I was inspired by the incredible beauty of diamonds and the way each cut is chosen to accentuate its clarity and interaction with light,” explains Ayoub.
A stock, square shaped flacon from Coverpla was first lacquered green by decoration specialist PRAD, then metallised in silver. The sides of the bottle were laser-cut with Eastern Kufic calligraphy script, revealing the green lacquer underneath.
For the fragrance cap design, Kajal worked with jewelry designer Leonardo Ranucci, who reimagined the brand’s recognisable 8-point star stopper. A geometric pattern inlaid with gem-like stones adorns the cap’s flat top.
The fragrance comes in a cardboard box decorated with green foil and embossed with the Kufic calligraphy on its sides.
